Actions

Finalize Current Image. Use this option to finalize all image actions applied to a single currently selected image. Finalize image dialog will open and allow you to choose output image file format (BMP, JPG and PNG are currently supported), destination folder and what the program should do if a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder.

Tools

Send Files by E-Mail. This option allows you to send selected images in an e-mail attachment directly from the program using your default e-mail client.

Help (F1). Opens the Photo Druid help index file.

Toolbar - Edit

Undo

Removes last image action performed.

Redo


Re-applies the action that was just undone. Works only before applying next image action.

Del


Deletes the selected images to Recycle Bin. If you hold Shift key with this option images will be removed from the hard drive completely. Be careful with this option as Undo does not work for it.

Toolbar - Select

All

Marks all images as selected.

Invert


Unmarks all selected images and marks all unselected images as selected.

None


Unmarks all images.

Toolbar - Options

Views

Click here to set view type for the list of images. Four thumbnail sizes are available to choose from: small, medium, large and custom. You set custom thumbnail size by yourself in the program settings dialog. You can also choose to display detailed file list.

Refresh option will cause the program to read the source folder again. It is useful if you add some images to the source folder after the program already displayed its contents. However, please note that refreshing the source folder causes the program to discard all applied image actions so finalize images first.

Folder Tree

Select a source folder with images here. Please note that changing the source folder causes the program to discard all applied image actions so finalize images first.

List of Images

All images in selected folder are displayed in this space either as thumbnails or detailed file list depending on your choice. You can change the view type by clicking Views on the toolbar. The program currently supports BMP, JPG and PNG image file formats so only these kinds of images will show up in the list.

If you add some images to the source folder after the program already displayed the folder contents they will show up in the list only if you use Refresh option available in the Views menu. However, please note that refreshing the source folder causes the program to discard all applied image actions so finalize images first.

Available Image Actions

The list of all image actions that you can apply to your images. To apply an action double click on it or select it and click Apply, Apply to selected images or Apply to all images.

Selected Image Workspace

Preview. Displays the original of the currently selected image on the left side, and the result after selected image actions are applied on the right. Double click to get full size image preview on the screen. Full size is the default size, but by right clicking on the image preview you will get more options in the context menu: Full Size (default), Fit Image, Fit Width, Fit Height, Fit On Screen, Zoom In, Zoom Out and Copy that places the image on the clipboard so you can paste it to some other program. Also, if you have a wheel-mouse you can roll its wheel to zoom in and out the image preview.

Applied Actions. The image workspace also displays a list of all image actions applied to that particular image. If you want to remove some action select it on this list and click Remove Action. Red letters indicate that some image action was applied to all images (or multiple image selection). If you try to remove that action the program will ask you if you want it removed only from the current image or all images that has it.

Navigation. Navigate selection buttons work either on all images when no multiple image selection is made or are constrained to browse only through selected images. Check status line below to see whether you are browsing all images or just the selection.

Finalizing Images. You have three options for finalizing images: current image, selected images or all images at once. Whichever option you go for finalize image dialog will open and allow you to choose output image file format (BMP, JPG and PNG are currently supported), destination folder and what the program should do if a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder.
